About Me.

📍 Bardstown, Kentucky 🎓 ECTC → WKU 🔐 Cybersecurity Track

My Journey

Hey, I'm James. I tend to be the one who figures things out. I've always been drawn to how technology works, not just using it, but understanding what's actually going on underneath.

In high school I took dual credit CIT courses through ECTC, which gave me a real head start and confirmed that this is exactly what I want to do. On top of that I've been self-teaching, for example, building this website, setting up servers, and poking around with things I find interesting. I learn best by just jumping in and doing it.

This fall I'm starting at ECTC for my Associate's in Computer Information Technology, and from there I plan to transfer to WKU to pursue a B.S. in Cybersecurity. I'm early in my journey, but I'm serious about it.

What I Believe In

01

Learn by Doing

I don't wait until I feel "ready." I build things, break things, and figure it out along the way. That's how this site got made.

02

Stay Consistent

I'm not the flashiest person, but I show up and put in the work. Slow and steady progress beats doing nothing every time.

03

Keep It Real

I'm at the start of my career and I own that. I'd rather be honest about where I am and keep improving than pretend I know everything.

What I Do for Fun

Golf

I enjoy getting out on the course. There's something about the focus it takes that I really like — similar to debugging, honestly.

📷

Photography

I like capturing moments and landscapes. It's taught me a lot about patience and paying attention to details.

🎣

Fishing

Hard to beat spending a quiet morning out on the water. It's my go-to way to clear my head and recharge.
